The first cat cafe in the USA, in New York City, occurred the weekend of April 24-27, 2014 as a 4 day event. Here’s an overview from the street (Bowery, to be exact) in New York of The Cat Cafe, sponsored by Purina One. In addition, a wonderful adoption center The North Shore Animal League, was present – they had a truck parked out front and according to their volunteers, people DID adopt!
